Frankincense Body Butter

Whipped Body Butters are a great way to seal in moisture, especially after a bath or shower. My Body Butters don’t require either emulsifiers or preservatives. They are a great way to both moisturize and protect without unnecessary chemicals. Additionally, my Frankincense Body Butter uses only natural and essential oils and no perfumes or fragrances. Not only do they smell delightful, but they also offer skin benefits and aromatherapy.

There is a reason that frankincense is included in the bible as one of the three gifts brought by the three wise men to the baby Jesus. This essential oil is distilled from frankincense resin.  According to an article published in Molecules 2022, it is reported: “to be a potential remedy for inflammation, and it has been used as a folk medicine for topical and systemic inflammatory diseases for centuries”.

Also, this article notes that Frankincense “possesses the promising potential to modulate the biological processes of inflammation and tissue remodeling in human skin”

Aromatherapy works by sending messages to the olfactory nerve, stimulating the system that controls emotions and mood and physical changes related to emotions like blood pressure, breathing, heartbeat, memory, stress reactions, and hormones. I included Vetiver in this Body Butter which is presently being studied for its benefits on depression and mood.

Please be aware that we only ship my Body Butters during the winter as they are 100% natural and high heat could liquify them them. This doesn’t hurt their effectiveness but lessens their visual appeal and sometimes texture. It is possible that the jar could leak if it gets too hot. For those of you in Florida, please order according to the weather.
