Special Additives include sun-protective Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide. Also, the best oil for sun-protection Red Raspberry Oil. Flavored with Essential Oils of Wintergreen, Spearmint, Peppermint, and Camphor (the ingredient in blistex)
I made this lip balm to help with my aging lips and packed it with regenerating oils of Carrot Seed Oil and Calendula Oil, healing of Sea Buckthorn Oil and sun-protective Red Raspberry Seed Oil. I also use this oil in my sunstick. I also added a bit of Zinc Oxide to protect the lips from sun. No flavor in this one necessary, it’s pretty herbally.
Herbs are very healing and also fight a lot of bacteria and viruses. This is the one I’d choose if I got a lot of cold sores. This is REALLY herbally tasting with real essential oils of Spearmint, Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano and Mint.
Just pure good lavender essential oils in my perfect lip base.
I am not sure you can beat orange essential oil for simplicity and deliciousness. I use distilled orange to avoid sin sensitivity.
I add a little Zinc and it’s the one I’d choose on a sunny day.

The formula feels very nice on my lips. However, when I first got the lip balm, the lavender scent/flavor was completely overpowering. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I could not use it for a few weeks without my mouth feeling like it had been doused in concentrated lavender, making me have to wipe off what I had applied. Eventually, the scent/flavor dissipated enough for the lip balm to be useable. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or if being delivered to my home during warm weather did something. The sandalwood lotion bar I got in the same shipment also had the same issue of being so overpoweringly scented that I could not use it until it had had a few weeks of being “aired out”. So it’s possible that the issue with the lip balm and the lotion bar were connected somehow.

I got Calendula Carrot. I love the smell and taste ( I accidentally licked my lips). It makes me feel so …earthy, lol! It smells herbal and you get a whiff of the carrot. I bought melon for my husband and the raspberry truffle for myself. The raspberry smells almost exactly like a Russell Stover raspberry creme chocolate, and by that, I mean it smells amazing. It glides on smooth and stays on well. The texture is a tiny bit off-smooth because of the cocoa powder, but I figure it might provide some gentle exfoliation, so it’s all good. My husband likes the melon, but I couldn’t pin him down about his reasons. lol
