Topical Magnesium Oil Spray may be the solution for achy muscles, night cramps, or Charlie horses. Many of us are magnesium deficient because modern vegetables often lack magnesium-rich soil. Personally, I get night cramps if I don’t have enough magnesium, but topical magnesium solved that.

During the Covid pandemic, I noticed that stress seemed to increase my magnesium needs, leading to heart palpitations. Topical magnesium completely resolved this, much to my surprise.

How I Make My Magnesium Oil Spray

I dissolve magnesium in an aloe vera tea infused with anti-inflammatory herbs, chosen for their traditional use and muscle-soothing properties:

  • Chaparral – a southwestern bush with a clean, earthy scent; used by indigenous peoples for millennia
  • Arnica – a folk medicine anti-inflammatory, common in salves for aching muscles
  • Comfrey – traditional use for aches, pains, and bruises; also called knitbone

 

Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera Juice infused with: Chaparral, Arnica, Comfrey Leaf, Burdock, St. John’s Wort, White Willow Bark, Witch Hazel, Ginger Root, Cayenne, Comfrey Root
  • Magnesium Chloride
  • Denatured Alcohol – medium for herbal infusion and acts as a preservative
  • Epsom Salts – additional magnesium source
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil infused with Chaparral – reduces dryness from magnesium chloride, long shelf life
  • Glycerin – adds moisture to skin
  • Jojoba Oil – long shelf life, similar to natural skin sebum
  • Isopropyl Alcohol – medium for herbal infusion and preservative
  • Essential Oils – Frankincense, Orange, Myrrh
  • Dead Sea Salt – trace minerals
  • Citric Acid – balances pH

Formulation: 1:1 ratio of Magnesium Chloride and Aloe Vera Juice

Directions

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Spray on skin where needed.
  3. Topical magnesium may cause mild tingling or itchiness due to capillary dilation.
  4. If sensitivity occurs, dilute with your favorite body lotion or butter until your skin adjusts. Discontinue use if a stronger reaction occurs.
