Caution, my Hippy Patchouli Essential Oil Roll-on is so grounding and peaceful that it may result in temporary loss of cynicism. May also be accompanied by feelings of love and hope. Side effects could also include generosity, trust and random silliness.
Seriously though, Patchouli Essential Oil is thought to help with depression. Maybe that is why I love Patchouli so much. Honestly, it is the scent that I most notice an actual emotional change in myself when I smell it. I added the Frankincense, Myrrh and Vetiver for depth of scent.
The Fractionated Coconut Oil helps it roll on easily and makes it safe to wear directly on your skin. The scent is long lasting. The bottle can be reused, just use a butter knife to pop off the roller ball and re-fill. If you’d like us to send you a refill that you can put in bottle, let us know by a message.
Patchouli is a strong scent and some people don’t like it. It is also one of the few (only?) essential oils that improves with age.
The therapeutic properties of patchouli oil are antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, cicatrisant, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, insecticide, sedative and tonic (Anon,2012c).
Use patchouli in aromatherapy to calm nerves, control appetite and relieve depression and stress. It can be stimulating if you where a lot. If you wear just a little you will find it calming. It is used to sharpen intelligence and improve concentration (Shankaranarayan, 2002).
I also sell a fabulous Patchouli Hippy Soap.
