The scent of patchouli has been cherished for centuries as both grounding and emotionally uplifting. In this Patchouli Soap, there are no extra frills, just the pure essential oil, which gives the bar its signature deep, rich aroma. Each bar weighs between 4.5 and 5oz and is super-fatted for extra skin-loving moisture. As always, it may shrink a little as it cures, but that only makes it harder and longer lasting.
Saponified Oils of Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Organic & Sustainable Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Organic & Sustainable Palm Kernel Oil, Beeswax, and 100% Patchouli Essential Oil.
Olive oil forms the heart of this bar, rich, conditioning, and mild. While there are other oils out there, none balance softness, creaminess, and longevity quite like this one. It’s a classic for a reason.
Coconut oil creates that satisfying bubbly lather while helping the bar stay firm and effective. But balance is key, it’s paired carefully with softer oils to avoid drying out the skin.
Both palm oil and palm kernel oil are used here to build a balanced, long-lasting bar. But not just any palm, I use only organic, RSPO-certified sustainable palm oils, sourced from ethical suppliers recognized by USDA Organic.
The World Wildlife Fund even recommends supporting certified palm over switching to less efficient, poorly regulated alternatives. It’s a small choice that supports a bigger solution.
I add castor oil to every soap because it’s the secret to that rich, creamy lather you’ll love. A little goes a long way, and your skin will thank you for it.
Beeswax adds glide, structure, and softness to the bar while helping it last longer. I source mine from small, caring beekeepers whenever I can, because I believe in supporting those who support the bees.
There’s no perfume here, just pure, undiluted patchouli essential oil. If you love the real thing, this Patchouli Soap will make your heart (and skin) sing. I test every scent on myself, and if it gives me a headache, it doesn’t make it into the shop.
