Authenticity matters. Many commercial products labeled “rose water” are only water with fragrance added. By distilling wild rose (rosa canina) along with roses from my own garden, I create a spray that is true rose hydrosol, rich in the same beautifying plant compounds that make rosehip oil so renowned.
Across centuries and cultures, rose water has been treasured for its anti-inflammatory and beautifying effects. A quick mist can calm redness, tighten pores, and give skin a dewy glow without heaviness. This is my second review, an update. I love love this spray. I don’t use it on my face, I use as a daily moisturizer for my locs. It has enough light oils that it doesn’t make my hair or scalp oily.
