My Sea Salt Cucumber Soap is light, crisp, and oh-so-clean. It is perfect for anyone who loves that just-rinsed, beachy kind of fresh. Sea salt bars are naturally hard and long-lasting, and I make mine with extra coconut oil to keep them cleansing without being overly drying. This bar is especially loved by those with oily or acne-prone skin, offering a deep, satisfying clean without stripping the skin.

Sea Salt Cucumber SOAP

Description

Sea Salt Cucumber Soap

Fresh · Bright · Beachy-clean

This Sea Salt Cucumber Soap is a crisp, cucumber-scented bar that is as refreshing as a cool rinse on a hot day. Made with mineral-rich sea salt and a higher coconut oil content, this soap is ultra-cleansing, extra bubbly, and incredibly long-lasting. If you love that squeaky-clean, invigorated feeling, this one is for you.

I designed Sea Salt Cucumber Soap to work well as a bath or hand soap. Bars typically weigh between 4.5 and 5 oz. As they cure, they lose some water weight, but not effectiveness. Just pure, hard-working goodness in every bar.

Ingredients

Saponified Oils of Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sea Salt, Fragrance, Colored Mica.

Why Sea Salt Soaps Feel So Good

Unlike regular soap bars, Sea Salt Cucumber Soap is made with extra coconut oil and added sea salt. The salt makes the bar harder and longer-lasting while giving it a unique mineral texture that many find clarifying for the skin. Anecdotally, salt may help with acne and other skin concerns, likely because it creates an environment where bacteria have a harder time thriving.

There’s plenty of anecdotal evidence that salt can help with acne but not many studies I could fine. There’s an article discussing observations here  regarding a salt lotion. I also make an Apple Cider Vinegar Lotion based on a similar principle: helping skin stay clean and balanced with fewer harsh ingredients.

Olive Oil = Conditioning Clean

Olive oil helps make Sea Salt Cucumber Soap feel creamy and hydrating, even though it is designed to be more cleansing. It is one of the most nourishing soap-making oils available, classic, effective, and dependable.

Why I Use Extra Coconut Oil in Sea Salt Soaps

Coconut oil is naturally cleansing and gives these bars their thick, bubbly lather. I carefully balance the coconut oil content so the bar is deeply cleansing without being too drying. This is what gives Sea Salt Cucumber Soap that fresh, beachy-clean finish.

Castor Oil = Luxurious Lather

A little castor oil goes a long way. It is the key to the extra creaminess in the bubbles.t helps condition the skin and adds stability to the lather so each wash feels smooth and rich.

Fragrance You Can Feel Good About

While I love essential oils, this bar includes a gentle cucumber fragrance to help the scent last longer in your shower. I always test every fragrance I use. If it causes a headache or irritation, I don’t use it. Ever. More than half of my soaps are essential oil-only, but when I use a fragrance, it’s carefully selected and tested.
