Fresh, crisp, and downright joyful, Spearmint Soap is like stepping into a mint patch after rain. Made with 100% pure essential oils (no synthetic fragrances here!), this bar feels cool, clean, and uplifting. I love it for those moments when I need a gentle wake-up or a little pick-me-up during the day.

It is superfatted for added skin nourishment, so it cleanses without over-drying. Whether you are using it in the bath or by the sink, Spearmint Soap leaves your skin soft, smooth, and lightly minty.

Bars typically weigh 4.5 to 5 oz. While they may lose a bit of water over time, that simply makes the bar harder and longer-lasting.

Why I Start with Olive Oil

Olive oil creates a creamy, ultra-conditioning bar that’s gentle on your skin. While some trendy oils get attention, olive oil delivers that deep nourishment without softening the bar or spiking the cost. It’s a classic for a reason.

Coconut Oil for the Perfect Lather

To add bubbly, cleansing power, I use coconut oil sparingly. It whips up a rich lather and lifts away dirt beautifully, but too much can be drying. That is why I balance it with richer, moisturizing oils to keep the bar gentle and effective.

Let’s Talk Palm Oil

Palm oil is a dream for soapmakers because it creates great lather, great hardness, and an all-around balanced bar at a fair price. I do not use it because it is cheap. I use sustainable, organic palm oils from trusted sources.

My palm oils come from CFC Inc. / Columbus Vegetable Oils, a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and a USDA-certified organic supplier.
 The World Wildlife Fund supports RSPO-certified palm and discourages swapping it with less efficient oils that may require more land and cause more damage.

Castor Oil = Bubble Magic

Even a little castor oil makes a big difference! It adds creamy, lasting bubbles and helps create that silky glide I love in a good soap.

Why I Stick with Beeswax

Beeswax enhances the bar in three key ways:
• It adds a silky, rich feel
• It helps the soap last longer
• It creates a firmer, smoother texture

I try to source beeswax from small, local beekeepers who care deeply for their hives. Beekeeping supports healthy food systems, and I am proud to support those doing it right.

Scented Naturally

I always choose essential oils for scent, and Spearmint Soap is no exception. Scented only with spearmint and peppermint essential oils, it smells sweet, herbal, and refreshingly clean. No artificial fragrances, no headaches, just real, minty goodness. If I ever use a fragrance oil, I test it on myself first. If it gives me a headache, it does not make it into the soap.
