This Traditional Orange Honey Shampoo Bar brings back the gentle wisdom of the past, made the old-fashioned way with saponified oils, raw honey, and uplifting citrus essential oils. Though it may not suit every hair type, this traditional shampoo bar is often favored by those with short hair, soft water, or a little patience during rinsing. I was very sick almost two months ago now and couldn’t wash my hair for up to 6 days at a time during the 15 days that I was very ill. Since then, my hair and even face has smelled intensely of cooking oil. I tried numerous clarifying shampoos and face washes, but the smell and oiliness would be back within 2-4 hours of cleansing. I was even prescribed an anti-fungal shampoo to see if that would help, which did nothing. I finally realized this smell and oil buildup must be palm oil. I researched for hours to find palm oil free products and finally found Ziryab’s. I’ve used the orange honey shampoo bar followed by a light wash with the yucca shampoo for two showers now and the smell has been gone since the first wash. I’m back to my normal routine of being able to do a hair wash every 2-3 days instead of needing to wash it up to twice a day! I’m using the bergamot & activated charcoal bar for my face which has also resolved issues with my combination skin that I had even before this oil issue, which it’s, of course, fixed as well. I can’t express how much of a relief finding these products has been, I was genuinely concerned for my health until I found them as I’d never experienced any similar issues in the past. I love the shampoo bars and yucca shampoo and will more than likely be a customer for life. My partner also loves all of these products which will make our routines easier as well!
