Yucca Extract
A powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Studies show it can reduce hair shedding, improve scalp condition, and increase hair fullness. Contains polyphenols, saponins, resveratrol, and yuccaols, which support overall scalp health.
Please note: There is some confusion about Yucca. The Yucca (Yucca schidigera) I use in my hair care products grows in the Southwest US and Mexico. The other Yucca (Manihot esculenta), also called cassava, is a starchy edible root vegetable similar to plantain. While it can be used in hair care products, it is not used in this recipe.
Aloe Vera
Moisturizes hair and soothes the scalp. Proteolytic enzymes may support hair growth.
Desert Oils
Prickly Pear and Jojoba oils protect, nourish, and add shine to hair.
Amaranth Extract & Protein
Amaranthus Caudatus seed extract and protein provide small peptides and lysine to strengthen hair, add fullness, reduce friction, and enhance gloss and bounce.
Chaparral Infusion
Larrea tridentata is rich in tannins, flavonoids, saponins, and bioactive molecules. Provides anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.
Amino Acids
Wheat and Soy Amino Acids, Arginine HCl, Serine, and Threonine help strengthen hair fibers, support hair growth, and improve overall hair health.
Behentrimonium Methosulfate – A gentle, eco-certified conditioner that detangles, smoothes cuticles, and reduces static.
Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride – Vegetable-based ester quat increases shine and improves texture.
Glycerin – Hydrates and smoothes the hair shaft.
Propanediol – Moisturizes, smoothes, and aids absorption of other ingredients.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) – Improves shine, softness, and fullness.
Polyquaternium 7 – Enhances smoothness and detangling.
Disunfloweroylethyl Dimonium Chloride blend – Controls frizz, protects hair, and improves combing.
Rosemary, Peppermint, and Lavender oils for therapeutic benefits and subtle scent. Rosemary has been shown to support hair growth similar to Minoxidil without causing itchiness.
After shampooing with Yucca Shampoo or your favorite natural shampoo, apply conditioner to wet hair. Leave in for a few minutes and rinse for smooth, bouncy hair. Suitable as a leave-in for extra detangling and frizz control. Safe for daily use.

The conditioner is very thin consistency and has unpleasant smell. I think the smell is just a mix of heavy essential oils, it goes away almost instantly upon rinsing. So not really a deal breaker. It does make my hair feel soft but I have naturally curly hair so it doesn’t hydrate to the level I think is necessary for my hair. Its very upsetting. I wanted it to work so bad, I love the ingredient list and approach to the product line.

I love the way the shampoo and conditioner work, leaving my baby fine blonde hair clean, soft, and shiny without damaging it or causing frizzies. My only complaint is I hate the smell. Very strong minty–yuck! Fortunately, I think it dissipates after my hair dries, either that, or I get used to it at that point. I would just really like a version without the intense scent.
