My Body Oil Serum is made of precious oils chosen for their ability to heal and moisturize dry, thirsty skin. Blended with light, quickly absorbing oils that heal and moisturize. Borage Oil, Squalane and Jojoba turn this oil into a high-end and luxurious skin treatment. Despite it deeply moisturizing abilities, it will not plug pores.

The secret to making a natural Body Oil free of preservatives and emulsifiers is using the environmentally friendly ingredient called Isopropyl Myristate. I purchase it from a supplier that prioritizes sourcing from sustainable  manufacturers of vegetable sources. Isopropyl Myristate is composed of isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid, a common, naturally occurring fatty acid.  It greatly improves the oils’ ability to benefit skin without chemical risks by improving absorbability. Instead of feeling greasy, the Body Oil makes skin feel smooth and powdery.

A Brief Description of my Body Oil

I include Borage Oil because it has a very high α-linolenic acid content. This is an unusual acid that is being studied for its protective and healing abilities including hyperpigmentation and inflammation.

Olive Squalane is an important element of my Body Oil Serum as it closely resembles an oil we make to keep our skin comfortable and supple while providng further anti-inflammatory benefits. Despite , it does not clog

Apricot Kernel Oil provides a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids rich in oleic acids, phenols and tocopherol content. It has a great skin feel, is easily absorbed by skin so does not have a greasy feel. It is also a stable oil with a balanced emollience (feeling of softness).  Not only this but according to this scientific paper, it protects the skin against the adverse effects of free radicals, exhibits anti-inflammatory activity and wound healing. It also promotes skin barrier health because of its components like  lipid fats, , free fatty acids, phenolic compounds, and antioxidants (more information.)

Rice Bran Oil is an affordable – but no less impactful  -source of skin-beneficial fatty acids and phenolic components. Thought to help even skin tone it is used in many protective and tone-balancing skin products. It has a lovely thin texture that is quickly absorbed.

Fractionated Coconut Oil is a very light oil that skin absorbs quickly. It will moisturize without clogging pores.

Castor Oil has a long history of being a healing oil for skin and other ailments.

Jojoba Oil is an oil we recognize as the one closest to our own natural moisturizing system. It is amazing in so many ways, including having remarkable anti-oxidant powers, the same powers that keep it and other oils it is paired with fresh.

Vit E or Tocopherol is the ingredient that many oils rely on as an anti-oxidant and supports the oils as well as your skin.
